Wine and Dine Festival, a spectacular gathering of wine, food, music and fun. This festive event will showcase wines from national and international wineries paired with food from local restaurants and feature colourful culinary personalities.

It's all happening at the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade, the perfect spot to drink great wine, sample fantastic food, listen to superb live music and soak up the surrounding fabulous views of Victoria Harbour.

About the Event

From 30 October until 8 November, Hong Kong will host the Hong Kong Food and Wine Year Spotlight Events - a series of wine and dine activities. There will be a Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival from 30 October until 1 November at the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade featuring enormous wine pavilions, stalls serving delicious food and live music that will keep visitors entertained.

Visitors can also attend wine appreciation classes conducted by local professionals, as well as wine tours and walks, while at the same time explore Hong Kong's fascinating living culture.
 

    
A Brand New Consumer Marketing Platform

Building on Hong Kong's culinary strength and the exemption of wine duty, as well as the introduction of the Michelin Guide - Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has adopted the 'Hong Kong Food and Wine Year' as the marketing platform for 2009 to further highlight Hong Kong's position as one of the leading culinary and wine hubs in Asia. A series of gastronomical events featuring fine wine, food, festivities and fun will be organised from April 2009 to March 2010 with an aim to providing an opportunity for visitors to experience and enjoy a world of food and wine in Hong Kong.
 

The First Ever Outdoor Wine & Dine Festival

The first ever Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival, a festive, upscale event showcasing wines from national and international wineries paired with food from local restaurants and culinary personalities will be held between 30 October - 1 November 2009, at the best vantage point for the world renowned Victoria Harbour. This three-day event will be a spectacular gathering of wine, food, music and fun. Thousands of wine lovers will flock to this festival making this one of the most desirable wine consumer event of the year, where people can savour familiar wines, while enjoying the opportunity to discover new favourites from many brilliant wineries from all over the world, in one single place.

Venue  West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade (Take the MTR to the Hong Kong Wine  and Dine Festival. Free shuttle bus service will be provided from MTR Kowloon /  Tsim Sha Tsui / Hung Hom stations)
Opening Hours 30 October:
6pm - 8:15pm (Gala Night by invitation only)
8:45pm - 10:45pm (open to the public)
31 October & 1 November:
1pm - 10pm (open to the public)
Admission Free
Wine Pass HK$150 includes a 'Wine Pass' consisting of 12 coupons for wine tasting (good on designated day, please refer to wine pass arrangement for information); a cash coupon worth HK$10
(for any purchase at the wine and food booths at the Festival), a gift coupon for a piece of GODIVA chocolate, a gift coupon for a cup of Tsit Wing coffee, an official wristband, a goodie bag consisting of a Riedel wine glass (worth HK$135) and a bottle of Waiwera Mineral Water from New Zealand.
 
The glass is to be used for wine tasting during the Festival. The Wine Pass holder can enjoy up to 12 tastings from the participating wine booths. Each wine merchant will provide a designated wine for tasting. Each tasting portion is about 40ml.

During the Festival, the public can also purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages from different booths. Any wine purchased cannot be opened on site.
 
* Wine-tasting participants must be aged 18 or above and wear the official wristband or bear the official stamp for identification.
